2021.09.25 02:12 Graymatter_13 Front grille/bumper guard - ‘22 Outback
I bought a 2022 Outback (premium) a little over a month ago. I’m not looking to do any significant changes to the car (no lift, etc) since I also picked up the 100k extended warranty and don’t want to void anything. I was able to negotiate a that they throw in and install a Thule roof/cargo basket, but I am also thinking about adding a front bumpegrille guard — the type that covers the middle third. Any options that folks out there have installed that they like that work for a ‘22 model?

To my ER PA's out there... What is the patient population you are seeing in your ER? I understand most PA's are in triage, but want to understand the examples of common conditions you treat each day! Thank you in advance.

2021.09.25 02:12 RoroCcAbTd Did I overstep my bounds?
I do home health and have been working with a 94yo patient for a few months. A lovely person, always the highlight of my day, definitely cognitively with it. Lives independently (with housekeeping and bath aide services as well as my weekly visits).
Yesterday, after a third hospitalization in as many months for CHF exacerbation, i arrived to see them crying. Had just gotten a call to confirm an endoscopy and echo. Appointments they had told the hospitalist they weren't sure they wanted. "I'm 94 but I can still think for myself. Will they actually find anything worth trying to fix? Or are they just trying to drag as many breaths from my body as they can?"
Now I am not shy about death. If I weren't in home health I'd probably be in hospice (though some people I do feel like I am in hospice). We talked a long while about what might be found, risks of minor and major procedures, risk/benefit of further tests, and most importantly quality of life. They had never heard the term palliative care before, and when I described it they started crying again and asked why no one had ever brought it up "They just want me to do more tests, and take more pills, and do more physical therapy, and I don't. I want to rest. I want comfort". They told me they planned to discuss palliative care with their PCP as soon as possible.
My fear is, did I overstep my bounds? There are two adult children that assist the patient, and are very very protective. I fear I had a discussion that maybe should have been initiated by the PCP not the nurse. I sometimes worry I'm a little candid.

2021.09.25 02:12 rhinokitty YSK how to measure with an accuracy of a sixteenth of an inch using a ruler or measuring tape
Why YSK: Many things that you will need to cut with scissors, a knife, or a saw will need to be precisely measured first. In many trades and professions in the United States, a sixteenth of an inch is accurate enough to be considered exact.
It's extremely difficult to explain in text how to read a ruler or measuring tape down to the sixteenth of an inch, but this video does an accurate job.
