2021.10.21 03:09 freelancerkatie Outsourcing Web Development: Ultimate Guide

Quick Summary:
One of the most heated debates in an organization includes the popular: In-house web development VS outsourced web development approach when it comes to developing web apps. While companies have a fear of connecting with underdeveloped, insufficient, or unskilled outsourcing teams, they are even more concerned about the higher costs involved in in-house development. In this article, we have listed a comprehensive guide to outsourcing web development. By the end of this article, you will gain a precise piece of knowledge on what exactly web development outsourcing is, and how it benefits the companies. We have also listed 5 Myths related to outsourcing and brief steps on how to outsource web development projects successfully.
Introduction https://preview.redd.it/nlreo8tqvqu71.png?width=1100&format=png&auto=webp&s=77ebc9a75309ae563b1624f8985fca76f29fc50b
Outsourcing Web Development has turned out to be a major global trend today. Hardly any companies deny or contradict the benefits of outsourcing web development services. Large organizations and businesses have been outsourcing for years as a famous option to build an MVP. The best part is the technological advancements are making it easy for small businesses as well, to outsource web development projects.
As online presence becomes more and more vital, outsourcing is gaining the same hype as well. However, several companies run out of time, money, resources, and people to build a website in-house. In such cases, opting for outsourcing is the best decision that organizations can make. Delegating certain tasks to outsourcing companies is more beneficial than handling them with in-house developers. If you wish to know how to outsource web development today, read on!
What is Web Development Outsourcing?
Several Companies use an external contractor to finish all the web development activities instead of leaving the task up to the in-house team. This process is known as web development outsourcing.
Why do Companies Outsource? Although the major reasons to outsource vary and depend on a lot of factors, there are generally 3 ideal motives of companies to outsource. Under Deloitte’s research,

Benefits of Outsourcing Web Development Reduced Costs According to data from Glassdoor, a senior Ruby on Rails developer in the US has an average salary of $110,00, whereas, in Eastern Europe, it is more than half or less. However, you must also look into the other necessary costs involved in the hiring process like work equipment, rent for office space, insurance, etc. Usually, companies can save between 20-75 percent of costs with outsourcing. You know you can reduce software development cost by hiring dedicated developers.
Risk Sharing When companies outsource, they put their part of the risk on the contractor. Simply put, the contractor embraces all risks on the company’s part. A fixed price model enables companies to put up maximum risks on the contractor besides the material model and time that shares risks between both parties.
Zero Hiring Hassles Wish to build a team of your own? Try these:
When you choose to outsource, you skip each of these irksome actions.

2021.10.21 03:09 myfirstburnerr Moving out with my girlfriend. How can I protect myself legally?

First off our relationship is great I am just a cautious person. My girlfriend is getting an apartment and we have 2 1 year olds. She’s using her paystubs so doesn’t that mean only she will be on the lease?
How can I get on the lease as well? What are some things I can do to protect myself incase we ever break up? I am 20 she is 21. I’ve heard moving in with a gf/bf is risky so just want to be educated about this situation. Also the bills would be split 50/50 until I finish cdl school so I can pay majority or all the bills.

We provide over 100+ FREE crypto articles on our SubStack! :D (Link on our profile)
TLDR:
For crypto-entrepreneurs and long-term investors, yield farming works. But it is still a short-term incentive and not a long-term solution. So use this method with precaution.
General Conclusion Last week, we talked about a possibility of going back to the international gold standard by replacing gold with bitcoin. Today, we are talking about the agrarian society 2.0. I guess history really does repeat itself in new forms!
Today, we are talking about yield farming, the modern day agriculture. Instead of harvesting crops, we are harvesting tokens.
Yield farming is part of token distribution and user acquisition. It's basically mining tokens by using the protocol (i.e. executing trade). It's attractive because it's possible to get a 100% APY. But it comes with risks.
1. Projects Using Yield Farming

2. Good Bad Ugly [Good] It works. This native token is an incentive for liquidity providers. That is exactly what exchange platforms are doing with their native tokens too, by incentivising market makers. It works for users because they are rewarded with extra tokens. It works of the platform because they are onboarding new users.
[Good] Projects like these are way beyond the stage of just a white paper. We have a working product that can be used and this is the first step towards getting a user base.
[Bad] This is still a short-term incentive that is not sustainable. What happens when the hype of trading is gone? Or when transaction fees are too expensive and it makes no economic sense to trade? Or when tokens are all given out?
[Bad] So far, it seems like the yield is a zero-sum game. If you don't know how to play, you should not participate. It may change in the future by increasing the size of pie, but for now, it is a beautiful zero sum. It means do not be the last sucker standing because you are going to suffer all the losses. If you don’t have insider knowledge or strategic advantage, you are not earning yield. You are the yield.
[Ugly] The real ugly part is the hidden string attached. Due to all the trade going on on ethereum, gas fees have shot through the roof. So beware of gas fees, slippage fee, asset volatility.
[Ugly] Leveraged trading can be good to secure greater upsides, but the downside can also be quite steep, especially since market is so volatile and you can get squeezed out quickly, if you have all your liquidity tied up in the the defi apps.
[Ugly] Because there are so many transactions (that may or may not be inflated), the transaction fees have soared. So, Ethereum is looking to increase the block size. This is great for validators in the short run to increase their returns, but this is ugly risk in the long run because ethereum network can be more vulnerable to attacks on the network.
3. Economics of Yield Farming Apply To Your Project This is a typical method for issuing tokens based on transaction volume, as we see in exchange tokens. Check out the BNB episode for the economics of that.
Yield farming is a growth hacking way to achieve network effects. It uses short-term incentives to drive user growth. At the end of the day, we are looking at the bigger game. In the long-run, how sustainable will the platform be. The real economic value comes from building products that benefits users in a sustainable manner, not with hypes and pumps. That means actual financial activity for DeFi protocols, so that monetary value increase is not just driven by "sophisticated leveraged speculation" but real value-add.

2021.10.21 03:08 ReallyBigAligator Did Poorly on a Grad School Exam, Life Actually Ruined

Worked hard through the first 8 weeks of my BioMed program. Had ups and downs but felt pretty good.
Got my Exam results back and failed. I just about cried on the spot. Every student meets with the group of professors tomorrow, and I'm 100% confident they are going to rip me apart and kick me out of the program (long story).
My entire life, my families life, my future, my career, was built on me completing this program and getting my Ph.D. I worked so hard for years to get my B.S., then apply, then get in. Then countless nights studying with little to no sleep, missing time with my family, and burning myself out at every waking moment. Only to have everything ripped away by one bad test. That's it. Done. Over. Nothing left.
No more contributions to science. No Lab or Lab work. No career. No decent paying jobs. No way to pay off Undergrad student loan debt. No way to support my son through college and give him safety. No more ability to support my wife. All the research I've done, the skills I've learned, all useless now. No one want's a B.S. in Biology, it's literally a useless degree that's only good for a stepping stone for grad school. I have nothing. No career. I haven't met with my professors yet, but I've already applied to multiple jobs in my area. The best I'm going to be getting is ~15$ an hour for a dead end job.
This wasn't how it was supposed to be...
I tried. I studied. I was involved. I put in the hours, the work, everything. It all amounts to nothing. It's barely sinking in that it's all over. No second chances, no hope, nothing. All because these 8 weeks pertained to material we hadn't covered in my undergrad, and had nothing to do with the fields I wanted to work in. New professors each week, and each with very different expectations. Points taken off pre-assignments without any indication of what their grading scales were/ expectations are. Ultimately, the whole thing was just total crap. One professor came in the end of class Friday, and told us for Monday that he had pre-assignments. That's fine. But during the weekend with no prior notice and no prior availability, we had to memorize 140+ pages of (and I'm not kidding here) very difficult content, along with 70+ more pages of content within power point slides, and then apply that all to the pre assignment, which was very difficult. No rubric either. I got called in and REAMED because I didn't do well enough on it for about 40 minutes. Apparently I wasn't the only one either.
I just don't know what to do with my life anymore. Everything's gone, my future literally just gone canceled. For fucks sake I just wanted to do Alzheimer's research for my mom.

2021.10.21 03:08 Cadiwonkus Any chance to get missing ornaments?

I have missed 4 seasons due to work and lazyness. Will the season pass ornaments for armor and exotics, and the emotes and shaders ever cycle back through Eververse or are they forever gone. I really hope I can still get them one day, if anyone knows anything from a dev post or anything that would be awesome.

2021.10.21 03:08 Hot-Construction8619 AITA for calling a girl in my friend group annoying?

hi, people! i’m totally new to reddit and this is my first ever post, so here goes. i (15F) have 3 tickets to a concert in my area that’s happening in a few weeks. i got them from my sister who was supposed to use them but the concert got postponed because of covid. the new date for the concert was at a time she would be in college, but she took the semester off so she’s back in town. before i knew she would be taking the semester off, i invited one of my friends (let’s call her F) and she was to invited another friend, “K”. i don’t know K very well but F was excited and i figured it would be fun. a couple of days ago i got a text from K letting me know that she had gotten another ticket and was going to use that, so i had a freed up ticket. F told me we should invite someone else (because obviously we have an extra ticket), and i said okay. i didnt realize what she meant until she texted me saying “okay, i invited E” (E is in our friend group but i’m not very close with her) I told F that i wanted to take my sister, seeing as they were her tickets in the first place, and that E couldn’t come. F told me it was too late and it would be rude to un-invite E, but i knew it was really important to my sister so i explained it to E and she understood. then i got a text from F asking me why i un-invited E and i said that they were really my sisters tickets and that since she’s not at college, she should go, plus E is a little annoying to me. i told F she can’t tell E i said she’s annoying, it was just a small thing and nothing anyone needed to get mad over. A few hours later, E texted me telling me that i was a bitch for lying and talking behind her back and i should just be honest with her. she said i was shit talking her, which i can see thinking that, but that wasn’t the intention, i was just expressing how i felt! i told her that i didn’t think she was very annoying and i actually quite liked her, but that sometimes i found her slightly annoying. she got upset and told me that i shouldn’t lie and that i really hurt her. i do understand that i hurt her, but also i think i should be allowed to have negative feelings about people without them knowing, plus they were my and my sisters concert tickets! there are SO many people i think are annoying, and she happens to be one of them, but i do feel badly for saying those things about her. so, reddit, AITA?
